Temperature Control
Proper temperature control is essential for even cooking.
If the barrel is too hot:
- Slightly open the top vent.
- Briefly uncover the barrel if necessary.
If you need more heat:
- Open the front and top vents to increase airflow.
To maintain temperature:
- Close both vents once the desired temperature is reached.
Remember: The more airflow your barrel receives, the hotter it becomes.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Keeping your barrel clean will extend its lifespan.
After each use:
- Let the barrel cool completely.
- Remove ashes from the charcoal basket.
- Clean the interior with water, degreaser, and a soft sponge.
- Wash grates and hooks with hot water and soap.
- Avoid chlorine, acids, or harsh chemicals.
- Store your barrel in a dry place or use a waterproof cover.
For detailed instructions, see the User Manual or watch the Cleaning Video above.
Additional Tips
- Use thicker cuts of meat for better smoking results.
- Prevent grease from dripping directly onto the charcoal.
- Leave enough space between foods.
Keep food away from the barrel walls and bottom.
